HAVENS / Hen Shang Co., Ltd., a company with three decades of deep-rooted experience in the automotive parts sector, has successfully produced major R&D breakthroughs after receiving the 2024 "Local Industry Innovation and R&D Promotion Program (Local SBIR)" grant. Through the execution of this project, HAVENS has accomplished a strategic transition from a traditional OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) to an OBM (Original Brand Manufacturer). Founded in 1995, HAVENS specializes in the research, development, and manufacturing of automotive steering and suspension systems. Over the past 30 years, HAVENS has accumulated profound technical expertise in the international market, driven by exceptional reverse engineering capabilities and a comprehensive one-stop service workflow—spanning product development, machining, assembly, packaging, and global logistics. However, in the face of drastic shifts in the global supply chain and the rising tide of digitalization, HAVENS recognized that a pure OEM model would no longer suffice to meet the diverse demands of the future market.
HAVENS has always upheld the core belief: "Integrity forges quality, innovation leads the future." After securing the 2024 SBIR grant, the company underwent ten months of rigorous R&D and testing, successfully concluding the project in May 2025. This achievement represents not only a technological upgrade but a complete reshaping of the corporate DNA.

The most significant technological breakthrough of this project lies in the deep integration of 3D printing technology. Traditionally, the sample development of automotive chassis parts has been hindered by pain points such as high tooling costs and long development cycles. By introducing smart 3D printing technology, HAVENS has not only drastically shortened the design and proofing phases but also minimized material waste, resulting in a substantial increase in product precision.
Coupled with an internally developed "Smart Product Database," HAVENS has successfully consolidated years of production data and manufacturing experience. Through digital management, the development data of every product can be tracked and optimized in real-time. This ensures the consistency of mass-produced quality and lays a solid data-driven foundation for developing more complex components in the future.

In the past, HAVENS' high-quality products were primarily sold globally through trading companies. While highly competitive, they lacked brand recognition. One of the core objectives of this project was to "create an identifiable and vibrant brand image."
By redefining its brand packaging, HAVENS has endowed its products with a more professional and modern visual identity system. Simultaneously, by utilizing digital tools such as website data analytics, the company has integrated online and offline marketing channels to directly engage with global customer demands. This approach breaks the limitations of the previous singular marketing model, effectively enhances the brand's pricing power and international competitiveness, and successfully secures a leading position in the global automotive materials market.

According to the performance data released in August 2025, this project has generated six core innovative products and services. In terms of operational performance, HAVENS has successfully achieved "cost reduction." Through the optimization and smart management of its manufacturing processes, the company has effectively eliminated unnecessary expenses and resource waste.
Currently, HAVENS has successfully established its "Tri-Smart" innovative business model: Smart Manufacturing (3D printing and databases), Smart Marketing (digital platforms and brand identity), and Smart Service (one-stop digital responsiveness).
